Whatever your pace or pleasure, you will find it in Heathcote.

View rich flora and fauna in their beautiful natural habitat. Amidst fresh space and magnificent tranquillity, a host of wildlife and wildflowers flourish while majestic forests surround. Simply taking a walk is a breathtaking experience. Or take a guided tour so you don’t miss an ounce of Heathcote’s natural attractions.

Why not indulge your palette in a delicious selection of local wines and fare. A host of vineyard, winery and cellar door tours are at your doorstep. Many wine producers now have Cellar Doors open Saturday and Sunday, and a few are open through the week too.

Take to the fairways in a game of golf on our award-winning course, a true golfer’s mecca. Or trade green for gold as you fossick for precious bullion.

Soak up the happy marriage of heritage and contemporary choices in our main street shops, museum and galleries. Or relax on the banks of beautiful Lake Eppalock, now with water!

Don’t miss the magnificent Pink Cliffs for a scenic walk.

Heathcote is a true explorer’s paradise...or you can enjoy the wealth of attractions that rest right on your doorstep.

Heathcote festivals

Heathcote is also home to two festivals each year. Don’t miss our renowned Heathcote’s Wine & Food Festival, the first  weekend after the Grand Final in October. There is also Heathcote on Show, an event that showcases the very best of Heahcote.  The event is held on the Queen's Birthday weekend and always manages to impress!
